problems
There is only one planet for all of us and we have many severe problems. I don‘t want to list them all here. Some of them require contributions from multiple disciplines, people with different skills.
So let us team up, bring our skill together, collaborate in a fair and respectful enviroment and see what we can do to solve your problem.
key expertise
cause and effect diagram

Have you ever tried to draw a fishbone diagram?
I recommend doing this.
It's fun and some problems seem less serious in retrospect.
If you want, we can do this exercise together.
opto chip design

Semiconductor optoelectronic devices like photodiodes, LEDs and VCSELs are available from high volume productions. Nevertheless, chips for new application ideas often come with special requirements and need to be developed.
The example VCSEL chip design shown in the pictures is optimized for high wavelength tuning.
resonator

Resonator design is crucial for high-performance semiconductor lasers with vertical cavities.
The example VCSEL design shown here benefits from ultra low-loss mirrors for low laser threshold current.
thermal simulation

The thermal situation in optoelectronic devices made from III/V compound semiconductor is much more complex than in silicon chips. Heat might be generated very localized in a small volume fraction of the chip and the thermal conductivity is not uniform.
Simulations based on the finite-difference method solving the heat equation can be applied to double check your chip design to avoid poor reliability due to local hotspots.
device characterization

After design and production of new devices, testing and understanding of the observed behaviour is required.
new technologies

New technologies will help us to reduce the energy consumption and the amount of ressources and toxic materials that are used nowadays in the prodution of optoelectronic components.
expansion boards

Your project requires a special electronic circuit that you would like to connect to a microcontroller?
This is a special expansion board with a low-noise laserdriver for interferometry application.
